Marie-Aude Boislard is an associate professor of the department of sexology at UQÀM. She specializes in adolescent and young adult psychosexual development. Research conducted in her laboratory is focused in three main areas: (1) factors associated with developmental desynchronization in the transition to a sexually active life (i.e. early, late, adult virginity), (2) risk-taking and associated behavioural strategies of protection in sexuality, use of psychotropic substances and sporting practices, and (3) key events that marks the transition to a sexually active life of LGBTQ+ individuals (i.e. women who have sex with other women (WSW)).
